About

A hardware company from Monroe, Louisiana.

AeroMast Innovations designs and manufactures tethered drone power systems in the USA. Bootstrapped, founder-led, and not interested in doing it anyone else's way. Field-proven in the most public reliability test there is: live sports, every Friday night.

The Short Story

Built on a football field, engineered for persistence

AeroMast started with a coach's problem: a drone filming football practice and games could not stay up long enough to be useful. Batteries lasted 30 minutes. The game lasted three hours.

The answer was a power tether, engineered in-house and refined under live conditions. School programs adopted it because it was the only system priced for a school budget, and it held up season after season. That record, 180+ programs and thousands of flight hours, is the foundation we now bring to defense and public safety customers.

AeroMast Innovations LLC was founded July 31, 2024 in Monroe, Louisiana.

Manufacturing

American built, American supported

Production

Manufactured off Redstone Arsenal

Our manufacturing partner, Kinney Industries in Huntsville, Alabama, builds AeroMast systems minutes from Redstone Arsenal. Kinney is ISO 9001:2015 certified, has been building for the defense industry since 1972, and roughly 80% of their work is Department of Defense. Capacity runs about 100 AeroMast units per month when parts are stocked. Design, engineering, and final testing stay with AeroMast.

Supply Chain

American components

Our tether cable is custom engineered for AeroMast by New England Wire Technologies in Lisbon, New Hampshire, built around the Quantum's 325 VDC / 500W electrical design.

Support

Talk to the builders

Support comes from the engineers who designed the system, in Louisiana, on the phone. No ticket queue in another hemisphere.

Leadership

Founder-led, on purpose

Greg Hawkins, CEO and Co-Founder of AeroMast Innovations

Greg Hawkins

CEO & Co-Founder

FAA Part 107 certified remote pilot, former educator and football coach, and a Louisiana Tech alumnus twice over (B.S. Geographic Information Science, M.Ed.). Greg has flown, built, and broken more tethered systems than anyone in the building, which is exactly the point: the product is designed by the person who answers for it.

Julius Christian Marcus, Co-Founder of AeroMast Innovations

Julius Christian Marcus

Co-Founder

Christian co-founded AeroMast in 2024 and runs the company’s finances and operations: the books, the vendors, the production schedule, the unglamorous work that keeps systems shipping on time. He and Greg were best friends long before they were business partners. If your quote has a number in it, Christian put it there, and he’ll stand behind it.
